Thursday 18th September 2008 – Isles of scilly Bird reports

Todays Birding highlights on the Isles of Scilly include:

St Mary’s *WESTERN BONELLI’S WARBLER* at Newford Duckpond at 1550hrs and showing well. HUDSONIAN WHIMBREL and CITRINE WAGTAIL both still at Porthloo Beach this morning. MELODIOUS WARBLER at higher Moors at entrance to Holy Vale at 15.40hrs. BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER still on Airfield at 0700hrs and probably same bird later on Golf Course. WRYNECK still on The Garrison.

St AgnesBUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER at Wingletang Cove today. Also PECTORAL SANDPIPER and SHORT-TOED LARK flew over.

St Martins – SHORT-TOED LARK by path above Bread and Cheese Cove at 16.30hrs. Also WRYNECK between Middle Town and Lower Town tho elusive.
