Saturday 15th September 2007 – Scilly Bird Reports

Todays Birding highlights on the Isles of Scilly include:

St Mary’s Buff-breasted Sandpiper on Golf Course at 17.20hrs then flew north towards mast.  SPOTTED SANDPIPER still at Porth Hellick Pool from seaward hide tho mobile. Med Gull (ad) still at Porthloo on Taylor’s Island. CITRINE WAGTAIL (1st Wint), SW of start of Pelistry Lane in ploughed field, flew south towards Normandy at 15.10hrs. Yellow Wagtail (2), White Wagtail (1). Plover sp. flew south over the Garrison at 18.00hrs.

Scillonian IIIGreat Sh’water (2), Great Skua (1) Storm Petrel (5) on this evenings crossing

Tresco Icterine Warbler by Pool Road, Ortolan Bunting still 16.15hrs east of great Pool near pentle house in stubble field and Osprey still.

BryherStint Sp. flew aroud Great Pool briefly, Whinchat (4)
