PHOTO OF THE MONTH – February 2009

Another superb batch of images on the website this month making competition difficult. This months winner is Mark Halliday with the long staying Snowy Owl at Sperris Quoit. The bird is often hard to see in tall heather and gorse and was keeping a beedy eye on our photographer. The photgraph appears in this months Birding World Magazine. In 2nd place this month is the husband of January’s winner, Sam Williams, with a very provocative shot of the nine Cattle Egret that were recently on the Estuary at Hayle. And finally, 3rd place goes to Devon based birder, Joe Ray’s close up of the Ring-billed Gull at Helston Well Done to all and thanks for your contributions.
