The recent sighting of Madeiran Petrel off Pendeen Watch on 16th has once again caused the ugly head of supression to be raised. We at Cornwall Birding are having no part in the discussion relating to the news of the bird being released only to say that it is a great record and will constitute the first mainland (living !) report of this species in the UK once accepted and of course a new bird for Cornwall. Congratulations to John on finding it!
