LANDS END RINGING GROUP

Page dedicated to the activities of the Lands End Ringing Group. The group ring birds at various sites in the West of Cornwall. Nanjizal Valley is probably the most famous of the sites as far as rarities are concerned. Other sites include Lands End, Brew Pool and Marazion Marsh. This page will hope to keep you updated with the groups activities.

Friday 15th June 2007 - 49 European storm Petrels ringed at Porthgwarra.

Saturday 16th June 2007 - Another overnight ringing session at Porthgwarra produced 98 Stormies ringed and released.

Thursday 19th July - Ringing at Marazion Marsh this morning produced: Reed Warbler (49) and Sedge Warbler (29).

Saturday 25th August ‘07 - The 2nd Spotted Crake of the autumn was ringed at Marazion this evening. Photos below.
