On This Day in History – 6th October
Davidstow Airfield had an American Golden Plover in 1980 and a Rose-coloured Starling in 1982. Another American Golden Plover was at St Just Airfield in 1968 with an Upland Sandpiper! A Wilson’s Phalarope was at Looe in 1970 until 8th October. A Red-throated Pipit was at Reskajeage in 1986 and another Rose-coloured Starling was at Kelynack in 1991. The 1968 intrusion of Nutcracker continued with one at Hendra and a Veery was the star bird at Porthgwarra in 1970.
