On This Day in History – 4th September

September is certainly the best month for Wilson’s Phalarope. Two more on this date, one at the Hayle Estuary in 1966 and another at Lower Tamar Lake in 1994. The Latter stayed for 2 days. A Baird’s Sandpiper remained until 15th September at Stithians Reservoir in 1988.
