On This Day in History - 30th September
A much busier day for rarities than yesterday. American Golden Plovers were at Lands End in 1987 and Davidstow Airfield in 1983, the latter remaining until 11th October. A Lesser Yellowlegs was at Stithians reservoir in 1989. Elsewhere Cot Valley held an Arctic Warbler in 1985 and a Bonelli’s Warbler was at St Just in 1983. A Red-eyed Vireo was on The Lizard in 1991 and remained until 10th October. A Little Shearwater was the highlight of a seawatch at Trevose head in 1999.
