On This Day in History – 2nd September

Two Wilson’s Phalaropes occured on this date with one at the Camel Estuary in 1963 and another at Crowdy Reservoir and Davidstow Airfield in 1977. The latter bird remained until 11th September. An American Golden Plover remained at Stithians until 20th September in 1975 but star bird was the ROYAL TERN at St Ives in 1971.
