On This Day in History - 29th October
A Wilson’s Petrel was seen from St Ives Island in 1967 and a Red-rumped Swallow was at Porthgwarra in 1983. An American Golden Plover at Sennen in 1990 remained until 10th November and a Raddes Warbler was at Nanjizal in 2005. A 1st winter Blackpoll Warbler at Kenidjack in 1995 was only the 2nd record for the county. There hasn’t been another since!
