On This Day in History – 21st September

Blue-winged Teals were at Upper Tamar Lake (2) in 1987 and Crowan Reservoir in 1987. In the same year an Alpine Swift was at Tintagel. A Baird’s Sandpiper was recorded at Davidstow Airfield in 1980 and remained until October 1st. Davidstow also produced a Rose-coloured Starling on this date in 1986. Elsewhere, a Lesser Yellowlegs was at Hayle Kimbro until 30th├é┬áSeptember 1972 and a Red-eyed Vireo was at Cot Valley in 1990, also staying to the months end.
