On This Day in History – 21st April

A Red-rumped Swallow was at the Hayle Estuary in 1981 and a White-winged Black Tern was at Landulph in 1990. Cape Cornwall held a Steppe (Southern) Grey Shrike for two days in 1992 and a Subalpine Warbler was at Bonython in 1993. A Black Kite was at St Leven in 2005. The best bird recorded on this date by far was the RED-BILLED TROPICBIRD seen 1.5mls out to sea off the Lizard and east of St Keverne off The Manacles in 2002.
