On This Day in History – 16th October

Birders at Porthgwarra turned up a Grey-cheeked Thrush in 1976 and a Little Bunting in 1994, the former bird staying for four days. A Gyr Falcon was at Penlee Point in 1986 and a Collared Pratincole could be seen on the same day at the Camel Estuary. A Long-billed Dowitcher was at Crowdy Reservoir in 1981 and a Rose-coloured Starling was at Langore in 1994. Cot Valley held a Sardinian Warbler on this day in 1990.
