LITTLE SWIFT

The first record for Britain was at Skewjack on May 16th 1991, found by Harry Kay-Robinson amongst a flock of other Swift and Hirundines.

1998 – One at Porthgwarra

2002 – One at Lands End 

2004 – One at Porthcothan on Jun 2nd.

2011 – Two birds were seen over Wadebridge from mid-morning on 21st April 2011. This is the earliest record ever for this species in the UK, the previous being a bird on St Mary’s IOS on April 28th 2003. (5th and 6th records for Cornwall)
