Todays Birding highlights in Cornwall include:
Rumps Point - *LITTLE SHEARWATER* flew past Rumps Point. (Thanks C.Selway)
Camelford - PECTORAL SANDPIPER still at Davidstow Airfield on pool by control tower. (Thanks H.Cook)
Hayle Estuary - Ruff (3), Curlew Sandpiper (3) and Pink-footed Goose still from causeway bridge early afternoon (Thanks W.Fullman, H.Cook et al))
St Ives - Sabines Gull (ad and Juv), Long Tailed Skua, Grey Phalarope (19), Balearic Shearwater (20+) and Pomarine Skua (2) past St Ives Island (Thanks S.Cole)
Pendeen (07.30 - 16.30) - Sabine’s Gull (ad + juv), Long-tailed Skua (2 juv), Pomarine Skua (2 ad), Leach’s Petrel (2), Grey Phal (25+), Eider (fem), Balearic Shearwater (50+), Sooty Shearwater (30+), Arctic Tern (2 juv), Bonxie (50+), Arctic Skua (30+) and Shoveler. (Thanks S.Votier and S.Bearhop)

Monthly Bird Review - September 2008
The Melodious Warbler remained faithful to 60 ft cover, Porthgwarra and it (or another) was still there at the months end. An Osprey showed well in a dead tree at Ruan Lanihorn on 2nd and five Grey Palaropes flew past Pendeen. Seawatching on the 3rd produced a Great Shearwater at Porthgwarra and Sabines Gull at Pendeen.
