Seawatching - Friday 1st August 2008

Todays seawatching highlights in Cornwall include:
Pendeen - Possible YELKOUAN SHEARWATER flew west past Pendeen watch at 09.50hrs then seen from Sennen flying south pas Cowloe at 10.10hrs.

Todays birdwatching highlights in Cornwall include:
Padstow - Med Gull (29 adult, 5 second year, 7 first year and 5 juvenile) at Tregirls Beach this morning. (D.Julian)
Helston - RING-BILLED GULL (1st sum) at Helston Loe Pool 17.30 - 17.50hrs then flew SSW. (Thanks A.Forsyth)

Monthly Bird Review - July 2008

July started off where June finished, being quiet. A hobby was at Clapper Marshes on the 1st and the drake Scaup remained at Stithians Reservoir. The first Cory’s Shearwater of the season was seen off Goran Haven, St Austell on the 3rd and a Green Sandpiper was at Clapper Marshes.
