Tuesday 27th May 2008 - Cornwall Bird Reports

Todays Birding highlights in Cornwall include:
Sennen - SHORT-TOED LARK still at Treeve Common at east end on ploughed strip, in bare field and by Trinity Cottages. Also Tree Pipit and Spotted Flycatcher.
Wadebridge - LITTLE RINGED PLOVER at Walmsley Sanctuary. Also Greenshank (2).
Hayle Estuary - Med Gull (1st sum) again from Causeway Bridge.

Tuesday 27th May 2008 - Isles of Scilly Bird Reports

Todays Birding highlights on the Isles of Scilly include:
St Agnes - GOLDEN ORIOLE  flew towards Gugh early morning also Blue-headed Wagtail and Spotted Flycatcher (4+). Arctic Skua between St Agnes and St Mary’s.
St Mary’s - Tree Sparrow below Borough Farm in field below campsite flew west at 10.15hrs. GOLDEN ORIOLE singing at Treloweth at 10.00hrs. Hobby [...]

Monday 26th May 2008 - Cornwall Bird reports

Todays Birding highlights in a very wet and windy Cornwall include:
Gwithian - Med Gull (1s) at St Gothian Sands NR this afternoon.
Hayle Estuary - Whimbrel (3), Knot (2), Med Gull (1s) and Black-tailed Godwit on main estuary.
Penzance - Arctic Tern (3) off Tolcarne Beach

Sunday 25th May 2008 - Cornwall Bird Reports

Todays Birding highlights in Cornwall include:
Nanjizal - *EUROPEAN BEE-EATER* flew NW over valley at 14.10hrs (probably bird seen later at Sennen)
Sennen - *EUROPEAN BEE-EATER* on wires near Trinity Cottages at 17.30hrs then flew north. SHORT-TOED LARK still at east end of Treeve Common on ploughed strip tho mobile.
St Columb Major - Osprey flew over racetrack [...]

Todays Birding highlights in Cornwall include:
Porthcurno - *EUROPEAN BEE-EATER* NE of Porthcurno on wires along the B3315  just before Sparnon at 14.00hrs. SW.400.241 probably same bird seen at St Buryan (Thanks C.Benton)
