Todays Birding Highlights in Cornwall include:
Rame Head - GOLDEN ORIOLE at bottom of pony field south of Penlee CWT briefly at 06.15hrs.
The Lizard - RED-RUMPED SWALLOW on wires by thatched cottages at 08.35hrs. Montagu’s Harrier (1st Cal Male) reported at Windmill Farm NR and 1st Cal and ringtail at Kynance Downs at 15.15hrs.

Todays Birding highlights on the Isles of Scilly include:
St Mary’s - SHORT-TOED LARKĀ still in ploughed field on Penninis Head SW west of Millstone. HONEY BUZZARD flew towards Airfield at 14.20hrs.
St Martin’s - WOODCHAT SHRIKE reported again today.
St Agnes - EUROPEAN BEE-EATER again on woodpile by Smuggler’s Cottage.

On This Day in History - 12th May
An Iberian Chiffchaff was at Dunmere Wood, Bodmin in 2000, remaining until 5th June. Two Bee-eaters were at St Erth in 2002. A Desert Wheatear was at Lands End in 2007.
