Todays Birding highlights on the Isles of Scilly include:
St Mary’s - ICELAND GULL (4) on Golf course and ROOK. Also ROOK on Airfield at midday.
Tresco - Firecrest  at East end of Great Pool. Also Swallow (2+) and Sand Martin.

On This Day in History - 30th March

A Subalpine Warbler was at Caerthillian Cove in 1989 and remained until 8th April. A Great White Egret was on the Lynher Estuary in 1991 and Crowdy Reservoir held a PIED BILLED GREBE in 1998 until 19th April.

St Marys - ICELAND GULL at Tregarthen Hotel and one at Porthloo this morning.

On This Day in History - 29th March

Quite a busy date for rarities with Night Herons at St Austell and St Clement in 1990 and a Boneparte’s Gull on the Camel Estuary in 1992. Star bird goes to a county first in the shape of a male PALLID HARRIER at Sennen in 2003.

St Mary’s - **GREAT REED WARBLER** still Poth Hellick Pool at 07.05hrs in reeds from Stephen Sussex Hide and at 11.30hrs from Seaward Hide briefly. ROOK at Longstones at 0905hrs. ICELAND GULL (2 juvs) on Golf Course.

St Mary’s - *GREAT WHITE EGRET* flew over Hugh Town towards Porthcressa at 10.05hrs. **GREAT REED WARBLER** still at Porth Hellick at northern entrance to Loop Trail at 13.05hrs.
Samson - Common Scoter again off Green Island. Also GN Diver (7) in The Roads.
