Not a mega but rare in Cornwall, a Tundra Bean Goose was at Drift Reservoir in 2007.

Possible HUME’S LEAF WARBLER at Tehidy.

It appears the jury is out on this one. It appears that there are some salient features on the plumage that point to Hume’s but the call is thought by many to be that of Yellow-browed Warbler, although Hume’s do a YB Warbler type call which is the common call in India. Matt Sallis has [...]

Colour-ringed Med Gull update……..an update!

The two colour ringed Med Gulls at Torpoint as mentioned HERE in a previous post by Chris Buckland have been identified as both being ringed originally as nestlings in Belgium in 2002. St Mary’s - GLAUCOUS GULL (2) and ICELAND GULL (2 juvs) in Porthcressa Bay this afternoon, plus Black Redstart. Black-necked Grebe in Hugh Town Harbour at 1400hrs. ICELAND GULL feeding off Morning Point, flew to Gugh at 11.15hrs and ICELAND GULL (juv) at Little Porth at 12.15hrs.
