Highlights from Mondays SEAWATCH SW team at Gwennap Head were: 6 Balearic Shearwaters, 1 Pomarine Skua (juv/first-summer), 123 Manx Shearwaters, 69 Common Scoters, 2 Arctic Skuas, 2 Great Skuas, 30 Kittiwakes, 2 Puffins, 7 Sandwich Terns, 12 Arctic Terns, 3 Commic Terns, 1 Common Sandpiper.

Not so far back in history was a Night Heron over Wadebridge, 2006.
Oh and England won the World Cup in 1966!!

Lands End/Sennen - No news either way on adult Rose-coloured Starling by 15.00hrs.

Highlights from Gwennap Head on Sunday29th July’07 from the SEAWATCH SW team were: 4 Sooty Shearwaters, 41 Balearic Shearwaters, 407 Manx Shearwaters, 10 European Storm-petrels,1 Common Scoter, 2 Arctic Skua, 1 Great Skua

This evenings pelagic was not to the area where the Madeiran Petrel was seen yesterday. The Pelagic tomorrow will re-visit that area.  Tonights highlights were: WILSON’S PETREL (1), Pom. Skua (1), Balearic Sh’water, Storm Petrel (50+)

Highlights seen by the Seawatch SW team from Gwennap Head today were: 2 Roseate Terns, 6 Sooty Shearwaters, 14 Balearic Shearwater231 Manx Shearwaters, 12 European Storm-petrels, 7 Common Scoters, 4 Arctic Skua and 2 Great Skua.

Not suprisingly, there is a Pelagic trip arranged tomorrow at 17.00hrs on board ‘The Kingfisher’ from St Marys quay.

MADEIRAN PETREL  - south of the islands from the pelagic at 19.00hrs this evening. Showing breifly down to 10 feet!
UPDATE - MADEIRAN PETREL - seen again 6mls south of the islands at 19.45hrs, down to about 10 yards.
Great Sh’water, Blue Fulmar and Storm Petrel (5) also seen.

Lands End - ROSE-COLOURED STARLING (ad) still around complex and showing well with European Starlings. Also NIGHTINGALE singing from garden of Swing Gates House.
